"Screen Time" displays video games as a lens to juxtapose escapist fantasy with real-world issues, prompting reflection on our complicity in current realities. This intersection encourages reevaluating our standards to visualize a sustainable future. If we have to use forms of online entertainment to escape everyday life in order to cope with it, isn’t it time to change our offline realities? Highlighting our nostalgic environment as both sanctuary and warning, Pennsylvania native Smilodons (extinct) and Moose (extirpated), Guam Native White Tip Reef Sharks (endangered) and Coral Reef (endangered) in this exhibition beg you to ask the question: What becomes of our species and those left if we continue on a path that is ultimately world-ending?
